On March 1, in Gerehun, Bo District, Southern Region of Sierra Leone, we gathered to honor the life and legacy of our founder, RoseAnn Rotandaro, on the anniversary of her passing. Just two days later, on March 3, construction officially begins on the RoseAnn Rotandaro Center and the RoseAnn Rotandaro Memorial School.
What started in 2015 as a small preschool operating out of a shared community building is now becoming a permanent, purpose-built space. Situated on one acre of land purchased outright, the new site will include a three-classroom preschool, a community center, soccer pitch, playground, toilet facilities, a water well, and a garden and farm.
This project reflects RoseAnn’s deep belief in education, dignity, and long-term investment in the communities she loved. By May 2026, children will walk into a school built in her name, carrying forward her vision for generations to come.
